A chartered accountant, Rob created Clear Vision to provide accountancy and business consultancy advice to business owners. He started working with dentists in 2001, helping a squat orthodontic practice to win the 'Practice of the Year' award at the Private Dentistry Awards in 2005. He specialises in dental business consultancy and has a remarkable track record in transforming the lives of dentists and their families. He regularly share his insights at dental seminars and in dental journals.

A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Matthew is Senior Client Account Manager of Clear Vision Accountancy Limited. He has worked with dentists since 2009 when he brought his 15+ years experience of accounts preparation, software set up and training, forecasting and commercial expertise to the sector.

His specialisms include:

• Dental practice accounts - preparing financial statements and timely and accurate financial information
• Software set up and training - working closely with dentists and practice managers to implement new financial software which enhances financial reporting
• Financial forecasting - working with dentists to prepare business plans to predict future cash flows, profitability and aid financial and operational decision making

A chartered tax adviser, Rachel is a Director of Clear Vision Accountancy Limited. She has worked with dentists since 2004, when she brought her 20+ years expertise in tax mitigation and specialist tax knowledge to the sector.

Her specialisms include:

• Dental business tax planning and mitigation - working with dentists on an individual basis to predict and minimise tax payments
• Dental business incorporation - conducting individual practice assessments, making individual recommendations and managing the entire incorporation process
• Inland Revenue investigations - supporting and representing dentists who are unlucky enough to be the subject of a tax investigation

Rachel says: Once a dental practice is generating a healthy level of profits, the next major step is to make sure the tax payable on those profits is minimised. Dentists should not be paying a penny more in tax then they need to but we find that many are unfortunately.

She focuses on the creation and production of interim management accounts which are tailored to the needs of the individual dental practice. Her specialisms include:

• Sage software set up and training - working closely with dentists and their bookkeepers to hardwire the systems which provide the foundation for great financial reporting

• Interim management accounts - producing accounts designed specifically for individual dental practices

• Interim accounts healthchecks - formal reviews of accounts produced in house by dental practices to confirm their accuracy and to optimise the value of the information they give

Carol says: Once dentists have regular, timely accounts in their hands which tell them what profit they have made per treatment, per associate, and so on, they are in a position to make great, well-informed decisions for their practices.
